Demos, Videos, Artefacts, Audio Works, Installations and Posters

A key part of ECSCW 2017’s programme are the live demonstrations, posters and installations. These may be research prototypes or commercial products presented by those involved in developing the systems. Videos, audio works, posters, artefacts and installations are also welcomed.
The purpose of this session is to provide authors with the opportunity to showcase their research to interested delegates, as well as involving them in discussions about the work, exchanging ideas, providing feedback, and sharing works-in-progress relating to CSCW.

The submissions for Demos must be related to the main topics of interest of ECSCW 2017 (

Submissions should include a short paper (four page maximum including references, figures, and a 150 word max. abstract). The paper should explicitly state the contribution and originality of the work, making it clear how it differs from significant prior work. A full literature review is not required.
All submissions should be formatted according to the ECSCW 2017 exploratory paper template (RTF or MS Word) and submitted via email to:

Please note that a power strip (240V), a poster board (A1), and an ordinary table will be provided. Additional equipment (including laptops, tablets, speakers, headphones, projectors) must be supplied by the demonstrator unless explicitly confirmed otherwise by the organisers. WiFi will be available.
All submissions for demos and installations should be accompanied by an Exhibition Plan (in MSWord format). This should  describe: Technical requirements (e.g. exceptional power (V), dimensions and footprint of exhibit (cm), lighting conditions).

Please note that all demos etc. will need to be staffed at all times during the designated sessions.

All accepted proposals will be published as short papers in the European Society for Embedded Technologies (EUSSET) Digital Library.
